Reportedly, women made up for only 20% of the global cybersecurity workforce towards the end of 2019. - Forrester Research
Cybersecurity is among the most in-demand jobs of 2020. However, the cybersecurity workforce has a gender- ratio problem. Because of so many unfilled jobs and low participation of women in the industry, several women in cybersecurity have started initiatives and associations such as the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), Women in Cybersecurity - Information Security (Cyberjutsu), InfosecGirls, Women in Cybersecurity ME, and more, to give the needle a push. These women believe that it is important to get the word out there that women are wanted, valued, and respected in the fight against cybercrime.
