Kudos to @EC-Council…In October 2016, I was awarded a CISCO CyberOps Cybersecurity Global scholarship. I managed to convince my managers at work to build an in-house cybersecurity team. It became possible through my security credentials – Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), and Licensed Penetration Master (L|PT) Master, which gave me a unique professional identity. I have held different cyber security positions in the last 3 years. I believe credentials like C|EH and ECSA have really helped me to gain defensive and offensive security knowledge.
Initially, the offensive approach of the C|EH fascinated me. Earlier, my knowledge was limited to defensive strategies, but C|EH enlightened me on how to think like cybercriminals in order to fortify a firm’s security solutions. Moreover, EC-Council courseware was easy to master and allowed me to use it as per my convenience. I found the labs more interesting as I practiced various strategies without worrying as it’s in a safe environment. These real-time labs helped me understand my now-favorite tools, which are Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark, &JR. The modules covering scanning and enumeration stood out
