“Ethical Hacking!” When I heard the term for the first time, I wanted to know more about it. After joining as a software tester in a renowned IT organization, I got the opportunity to explore the cybersecurity world and enlisted for EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification course. I learned ethical hacking from scratch – from how to protect web application security using the popular security tools, the Kali Linux to different vulnerability aspects for manual reviews of web applications. I got a clear concept about OWASP Top 10.
CEH helped me improve my skills and taught me to use the tools more efficiently for finding security vulnerabilities. I also got a firm knowledge of different types of cyberattacks and remediation strategies. I got introduced to tools like Burp Suite Professional, Metasploit, Nessus, and the different techniques to recon and find vulnerabilities by applying them.
I’m currently working as an Application Security Analyst, and I’m sure the knowledge I gathered from CEH will help me go higher in my career.
It was the mode of CEH training that appealed to me the most. It was convenient!
