In my previous job as a network engineer, I was in charge of security testing of HP printers. I was intrigued by the concept of security and exploitation when it was less well-known. Along the way, it intensified after learning about the countless possibilities and wonders of cybersecurity. It tempted me to pursue more knowledge and enter this exciting field. That’s when I decided to take up Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Over the years, I slowly immersed myself in enhancing my knowledge in the security realm, attending security courses such as from EC-Council, conferences such as Black Hat, and reading up during my free time. Later, I started spending more of my free time in pursuit of increasing my security knowledge. The knowledge I gained from the certification courses propelled me to where I am today and enabled me to perform my job as an information security manager.

I chose CEH for its specialized security knowledge. EC-Council is a prominent security training provider that has an incredible way to help you gain security knowledge from seasoned professionals with years of experience. The experienced trainers, coupled with virtual lab environments, hone my practical skills, making the most out of the sessions and pass the certifications easily. Overall, it has been a great experience with EC-Council’s courseware and training material as it helps to consolidate and reaffirm the theory covered in the slides. The detailed description and the easy-to-follow steps made it easy to perform lab sessions. Apart from that, the information gathering and vulnerability assessment tools from the course helped me improve the security posture of my company.

To all the cybersecurity beginners and professionals: I would say never stop learning. The cybersecurity industry is huge and constantly growing. Actively seek new knowledge and keep it up to date. Staying relevant is an important attribute of good security professionals.
