I started out in cybersecurity because I had an interest in the field, particularly the offensive security space.
However, I didn’t know how to go further in it. My cyber mentor recommended EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification, to get an overview of the field.
The CEH course has really boosted me. It has given a strong base level in my current position. It was broad and covered all the fundamentals of offensive security. The very fact that it provided a wide range of concepts for one to specialize in.
The training was deep. Both hands-on and off. I was thrilled to learn of the different security assessments ; (networks, cloud, iot, wireless and applications)
If you want to delve into cybersecurity, I would recommend the CEH as your first entry level certification.
