Since my school days, I used to wonder how investigation agencies could backtrack criminals with digital evidence. I attended workshops and a conference to learn more. Later, I heard about the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH). The organized structure of the program drew my attention. Then the thought of earning such a vital credential to validate my competence in ethical hacking made me more interested in this program. The reputation that EC-Council maintains help credential holders to establish themselves as a credible professional. Other than that, C|EH is an ANSI accredited program which is also recognized as a baseline program by the United States Department of Defense (DoD).
Well, after enrolling for C|EH, I was astonished by its real-time labs. It came with a step-by-step procedure and helped me to gain a better understanding of all the concepts. The hands-on session in a virtual lab environment was of profound help. These labs introduced me to various tools; one of them is NMAP that I prominently use on a day-to-day basis. Also, EC-Council provided me with excellent learning material, which was definitely worth reading.
