During my college days (~2008 yr), I realised cybersecurity is an extremely respectful industry and moved into it, choosing the cyber forensics domain. I always try to keep myself updated with new technologies. To fulfill the same reason, I chose EC-Council’s training programs – Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (C|HFI), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), and Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (C|TIA). I found that all these training programs came with smartly designed courseware and training material. They were comprehensive and covered all the conventional and trending topics.
Along with tools, there were a few topics that I really liked: network and web-application security, cybercrimes and countermeasures, cyber forensics, and trends of cyber threat intelligence.
In my opinion, every CyberSec beginner should have a fundamental knowledge of specific domains or subjects like networking, web application, forensics, etc. Keep yourself updated as per the market needs. Also, you should have a credential in the area of your expertise.
Be smart and creative in cyber world -D3
